Shorten zipper
Trim a zipper that is too long and secure end with
Bartack program No. 25.
Sewing Second Half of the Zipper
close zipper and pin the second half on top of
the inside
open zipper again, pin the entire length and
baste
sew from top to bottom – the zipper coils are
now positioned in the other groove
close zipper
Closing Seam
attach Open embroidery foot No. 20C (improves
overview)
pin and baste seam
sew seam from top to inserted zipper, staying as
close as possible to the zipper
if a small opening results, use Zipper foot No. 4
to close it (altered needle position)
