On-screen editing

Combining motifs and/or letters

Motifs can be combined in the artista

embroidery module to create

completely new designs. Motifs can

be combined with letters. Create

logos, crests, and badges without

using the PC.

Select embroidery letters

· touch the embroidery module

symbol

· touch “esc” to close the message

“lower feed dog”

· menu screen appears

· select the lettering style of your

choice

Tip:

Use Temporary Save to adjust the

distance between large and small

letters.

· select large letter and touch

temporary save

·select small letter(s), position in

Layout 1 and save

· touch ok = the letters combine

· letter screen appears

·program the letters as desired

· the sequence is displayed in the

memory bar across the lower part of

the screen

· the letter showing at the top of the

screen is the last letter selected

· touch “ok” to confirm

· the sewing computer will switch to

the embroidery screen

· the hourglass will blink as the

design is processed

· the letters appear on the screen;

the hoop will move and position the

starting point under the needle

· touch “layout 1” to go to

layout 1 screen

· the letters will appear as a rectangle

on the screen

· move to the desired position using

the eight directional arrows

· make any additional changes as

desired – resize smaller or larger,

rotate, or mirror image

· the rectangle will reflect the

changes made

· touch “show” to retrieve the motif

(the changes are reflected more

accurately by the rectangle than by

the motif)
