28 Motifs and functions

Horizontal and vertical adjustments

Horizontal adjustments

Reduce or increase the motif width

· open Layout 2 screen

· touch the left field

· the motif will be compressed

horizontally

· touch the right field

· the motif will be widened horizon-

tally

· the center field shows the adjust-

ment in percent

· touch center to return the motif to

its original state

· only the motif frame is visible when

it is being altered

· the changes are active until a new

motif is selected

Vertical adjustments

Shorten or lengthen the motif

· open Layout 2 screen

· touch the left field

· the motif will be shortened

vertically

· touch the right field

· the motif will be lengthened

vertically

· the center field shows the adjust-

ment in percent

· touch center to return the motif to

its original state

· only the motif frame is visible when

it is being altered

· the changes are active until a new

motif is selected

Note: If the motif has been rotated

90˚, the width and length adjust-

ments will appear to be opposite;

they are made to the original orien-

tation of the motif

Retrieving the motif

· after adjusting, the motif can be

retrieved

· touch “show”

· hourglass blinks to the right of the

“show” symbol

· this indicates that the motif is being

redeveloped

· the hourglass disappears and the

motif appears in its frame

· touch “ok” to confirm and return to

the sewing screen

· the motif always appears in its ori-

ginal form (unaltered) in the sewing

screen

· amendments take place during the

screen change

· as the motif is recalculated, the

percentage of complete alterations

appears in place of the embroidery

time
